Popcultureboy’s #CBR5 review #66: The Heat of the Sun by David Rain

A great idea for a novel, that imagines the life of Madam Butterfly’s illegitimate offspring and a really strong opening. Sadly, it doesn’t sustain the magic and by the end of it, I was glad to see the back of it. Shame. The full review is on my blog here.

Popcultureboy’s #CBR5 Review #63: Agatha Raisin & The Love From Hell by M.C. Beaton

In case you can’t tell from the title, this instalment finds Agatha unhappily married to the man of her dreams. He disappears after a very public fight, then his mistress turns up dead. Of course. Full review is on my blog here.

Popcultureboy’s #CBR5 Review #53: Agatha Raisin And The Terrible Tourist by M.C. Beaton

Very much a lesser entry. Beaton is in unfamiliar territory, setting the book in Northern Cyprus rather than Agatha’s sleepy village of Carsley. This really highlights her flaws as an author. Oh well! Full review is here
